Hearts…Hearts…Hearts…
Growing up Valentine’s Day was always one of my favorite Holidays! I love hearts! You probably already know that by my jewelry collection. In fact, I actually put a heart above the “i” in my name.
We have a tradition with my kids. We hand make Valentine’s cards each year. They’re literally works of art! We make hot chocolate and cookies and make all of those special Valentine’s cards.
To help make it easy for you I’ve put together a “Valentine’s Day Gift Guide” of stuff I just love! Men…this will definitely help you pick something awesome for those special people on your list!

Today is a special day in my life. So, I’m going to write something a little different for the “Michele Baratta Style Blog”.
Sixteen years ago today my daughter, Lily Drew, was born. I remember it so clearly! She born with piercing blue eyes and she was absolutely perfect! She looked like a “Gerber Baby”. We used to get asked all the time to have her model for baby stuff. We didn’t want to go that route with her.
She was bald as can be so she always wore a hat. It was a beautiful vintage fabric crown style hat with little pink flowers on each point. Wherever we went people always noticed Lily…and they remembered her the next time even if Mom & Dad didn’t. She has always captured people’s hearts and souls. She is a pure person and I am so proud that she is my daughter.
Lily is vivacious, beautiful, kind, humble, smart, all heart, and so talented! She is a vegetarian. And she’s kind to the earth. She is a true humanitarian and has actually won awards for just that. She’s been often called an “Indigo Child”. She walks in a room and it lights up.
Her passion is acting. And she’s really good at it too. Even though we didn’t plan to go that route she was destined to become an actor. She is captivating on the stage and completely mesmerizing. Sometimes we watch her and can’t believe she’s our daughter.
I am so blessed by her each and every day. I am so happy that she has become such a wonderful person. It’s hard for a parent to see their children grow-up. It’s only a few short years until she’s off to college. It’s a little bitter sweet.
Thanks for letting me honor my sweet girl!
XO, Michele
