Mixed feelings today! My son, Tristan, started 8th grade today and Lily started 11th. Where did the time go? I designed my first “picture frame necklace” when Lily was 6 months old. That is almost “17 years” ago! I wanted to always hold to close to my heart.
I wear my “Portrait of Love” necklace with a cherished photo of my kids every single day! It’s my way of holding them close when I can’t be with them. Here are a few great photo necklaces!

I’m just back from an unbelievable trip with my family in Long Island, New York. It was a Baratta Family Reunion. And what a family!
It was a weekend filled with dancing, lots of food, laughter, and love. We all had matching shirts which was the funniest thing! Our kids had so much fun hanging out with all their cousins. It’s so interesting the bond that family has. My family along with my sister and brother’s family are the only Baratta’s that don’t live in New York. But, even so, there is an instant connection when we visit our cousins, aunts, and uncles.
My husband and I never went near the computer. It was pure bliss. We didn’t even miss it!
The Baratta family is truly unique. My Grandparents were immigrants from Naples, Italy. My father is one of five brothers who all became successful doctors in the states. And each of the five doctors had at least one or two of their children become doctors. And now the next generation of children, which includes my children, is starting to apply to college. And what do you know…medical school is in the future.
